Furniture removal is mostly a problem of access rather than disposal. Getting a three-seater out of a first-floor Victorian flat in Moseley, a corner suite around the turn of a Kings Heath staircase, or a solid oak wardrobe out of a Harborne loft conversion takes two experienced people, the right straps and trolleys, and the willingness to take the item apart when it simply will not turn the corner. That is what our two-person crews do all day, and it is why we do not charge extra for stairs, long carries or awkward access.

We protect the property on the way out. Floor runners go down in hallways, door frames and banister posts are padded, and heavy items are strapped to a stair-climbing trolley rather than dragged. If a piece has to be dismantled we do it in situ and remove the parts, at no extra charge.

Every item is assessed for reuse before anything else is considered. Sofas and armchairs need an intact permanent fire-safety label to be legally reused or resold, so that is the first thing our crew checks — if the label is there and the frame is sound, the item goes to a local furniture reuse charity rather than into the back of the van as waste. Working white goods and PAT-testable electricals follow the same route.

What cannot be reused is broken down at our transfer station rather than tipped as a mixed load. Timber frames are chipped, steel springs, legs and bed frames go to scrap, foam is recovered where the grade allows, glass and mirror are separated, and mattresses are stripped into their component springs, foam and textile. That is how we keep more than 90% of collected furniture out of landfill.

We collect from houses, flats, HMOs, student lets, offices, shops, care homes and landlord voids across every Birmingham postcode and the surrounding 20 miles. There is no item limit and no minimum job size — a single dining chair is as welcome as a five-bedroom houseful, and multiple items are always cheaper per piece than booking them one at a time.

Pricing is by volume: £45 for a minimum load, around £90 for a quarter van, £140 for a half van and £250 for a full Luton. Every collection includes two crew, the loading and carrying, transport, disposal fees and a waste transfer note emailed the same day as proof of lawful disposal — required under your duty of care whether you are a household or a business.
