Garden Rubbish Removal in Birmingham

Birmingham City Council's garden waste collection is a paid subscription service with a fortnightly 240-litre bin — fine for routine mowing, useless after a hedge reduction or a full garden overhaul. One afternoon of cutting back a mature laurel or privet hedge produces more green waste than a subscription bin will take in two months, which is where we come in.

We clear the lot in a single visit. Grass cuttings and leaves, hedge and shrub trimmings, branches and tree cuttings, brambles and root balls, turf and topsoil, weeds and planters, rotten decking and fence panels, broken greenhouses, old sheds, garden furniture, trampolines, paddling pools and the general accumulation at the back of every Birmingham garden.

Our team brings their own rakes, shears, sacks and barrows, so you do not need to bag anything up in advance — though if you have already piled it by the gate, that will reduce the labour time and therefore the price. We carry boards to protect lawns and block paving when we are barrowing heavy loads out to the van.

Access is rarely a problem. Most Birmingham terraces and semis have either a side gate or a shared entry, and we are used to carrying waste through the house on protective sheets where there is no other route. Rear-access-only gardens in areas like Kings Heath, Stirchley and Bournville are jobs we do most weeks.

Green waste goes to a licensed composting facility, not to landfill. Timber is separated and either reused or chipped, soil and turf go for land restoration, and metal from old sheds, gates and trampolines goes to a scrap merchant. Overall we recycle or recover more than 90% of what leaves a garden clearance.

Pricing follows the same volume-based model as the rest of our work: from £45 for a minimum load, around £90 for a quarter-van, £140 for a half-van and £250 for a full Luton van. Soil, turf and rubble are priced by weight, typically £60-£90 per cubic metre, because tip charges for dense waste are weight-based.

Spring and autumn are our busiest periods for garden work, so if you are planning a big cut-back it is worth booking a few days ahead. That said, we hold same-day capacity year-round and can usually get to an urgent garden clearance within 24 hours anywhere in Birmingham or within 20 miles of the city.
